To ensure transparency and trust, we have set out our health disclaimer, safety standards, and policies below.

Health Disclaimer

The information provided by Repose Rituals — on our website, in product materials, or in educational guides — is for general wellbeing purposes only. Our products are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease and should not be used as a substitute for medical care. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, have a medical condition, or are taking medication.

Our Safety Standards

Repose Rituals follows the internationally recognized safety framework set out by Robert Tisserand and Rodney Young in Essential Oil Safety: A Guide for Health Care Professionals (2nd edition, 2014). This text is considered the global standard for essential oil safety and provides the dilution guidelines, age-based usage recommendations, and contraindications that underpin our formulations.

Children and Essential Oils

Essential oils are highly concentrated substances and must be used with particular care around children. In alignment with Essential Oil Safety (Tisserand & Young, 2014), Repose Rituals products are formulated for teens and adults (12+ years) unless otherwise specified.

For infants under 3 months, essential oils are not recommended at all, either topically or via inhalation.
Between 3 months and 2 years, essential oils should generally be avoided. If used, they must be restricted to very low dilutions (≤0.25%) of child-appropriate oils under the guidance of a certified aromatherapist.
From 2 to 6 years, a limited number of child-safe oils may be introduced at dilutions of 0.25–1%.
From 6 to 12 years, a wider range of oils becomes suitable, but at reduced dilutions of 1–2% compared with adults.
From 12 years and above, teenagers and adults may generally use 2–3% dilutions for general body application. For localized use (such as rollerballs applied to small areas of skin), higher dilutions of 5–10% are considered safe when formulated with appropriate oils.

Repose Rituals also offers a dedicated Children’s Collection, formulated specifically for ages 2–12 years, in compliance with these internationally recognized safety standards.

Diffusion Safety

Diffusion is often preferred for children because it avoids direct skin application. Following the guidance in Essential Oil Safety (Tisserand & Young, 2014), safe diffusion practices involve using fewer drops than for adults, diffusing intermittently (e.g., 15–20 minutes for young children; up to 30–60 minutes for older children and teens), and always ensuring the room is well ventilated. Oils that are rich in menthol or 1,8-cineole (such as peppermint, eucalyptus globulus, and certain chemotypes of rosemary), along with strong phenolic oils (such as clove and wintergreen), require special caution and are generally avoided for infants and very young children because of potential respiratory effects.

Shipping Policy

We aim to process and ship all orders within 2–5 business days. Shipping charges are calculated at checkout based on your location. Tracking details will be provided when available. International customers are responsible for all customs duties, VAT, or local taxes applied in their country.

Returns and Refunds

Due to the nature of our products — which include personal care, aromatherapy, and wellness formulations — all sales are final. We cannot accept returns on opened, used, or burned items such as candles, bath salts, teas, oils, or mists.

We will, however, replace products or issue store credit in the event that your order arrives damaged or defective. Claims must be submitted within 14 days of delivery with photographic evidence of the issue.

Privacy Policy

Your privacy is important to us. We collect only the information necessary to fulfill your order and improve your customer experience. We will never sell or share your information with third parties without your consent. Payments are processed securely through our e-commerce partners. You may request deletion of your customer data at any time by contacting us directly.
