A life in Preventive Wellbeing

I have been passionate about preventive wellbeing and living a healthy lifestyle since I began my career in healthcare more than 30 years ago. During that time, I’ve studied extensively and through working in integrative and functional medical clinics I’ve learned from award-winning doctors and health practitioners in London, Sydney, Dubai and New York.
Motherhood as My Greatest Teacher
My greatest influence, however, has been motherhood and learning how to blend the concept of ‘optimal natural living’ with the unpredictable nature of parenting—from preconception, fertility, pregnancy, natural birth and newborns all the way to young adults.
From Nutrition to Nervous System Health
Early on in my nutrition-therapy practice, I witnessed how even when creating the most balanced diets, clients struggled to follow them consistently when they were chronically sleep-deprived or under constant stress.
I realized that when people are tired and under stress, it naturally drives their food and lifestyle choices—the mind and body seeks quick energy and comfort, and emotions pull us toward what feels soothing or familiar. During those moments, willpower fades, and even the most well-intentioned plans for change meet resistance.
This realization shifted my focus from beginning wellbeing programs with diet to starting with how they live—how they sleep, rest, and manage stress. It inspired me to revisit my aromatherapy training and deepen my understanding of the science of stress and sleep, along with mind-body modalities such as NLP, EFT, breathwork, meditation, yoga, and polyvagal theory as ways to help regulate the nervous system.
I realized that for wellbeing changes to take hold and last, the solutions need certain qualities—they must be applied at a therapeutic dose, practiced consistently, and be simple enough to sustain.
My clinical work taught me that while food nourishes the body, it’s our mind and emotions that shape our habits. Implementing daily rituals to calm the mind and regulate the nervous system is essential for true healing.
The Birth Of Repose Rituals
This insight sowed the seed for the creation of Repose Rituals—translating the science of functional and preventive medicine into daily tools that help restore nervous system balance, so we can more easily make the dietary changes that lead to better health.
Repose Rituals grew naturally from this work. We help people restore nervous system balance through the power of essential oils and simple, sensory rituals that bring the principles of functional medicine into everyday life.
